CELEBRITIES:  Major League Baseball luminaries Roger Clemens and Kevin Millar plus Bachelor franchise reality TV star Wells Adams highlight the latest additions to the celebrity field.

Roger Clemens, nicknamed “Rocket,” stands as one of the most dominant pitchers in MLB history.

Throughout his 24 seasons, he won seven Cy Young Awards and was named to the All-Star game 11 times. He played for four different teams, spending the majority of his career in Boston and finishing up with the New York Yankees. In 2014, he was inducted into the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. A resident of Houston, Texas, Clemens is an accomplished celebrity golfer, finishing 28th at the 2020 American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe.

Kevin Millar began his MLB career with the Florida Marlins in 1997, reaching base that season in a league-record 71 straight games. Before his retirement in 2010, he also played for the Orioles, Blue Jays and Red Sox, where his clubhouse presence and offensive production helped spark Boston to a World Series Championship in 2004. Millar now co-hosts the popular MLB Network show Intentional Talk. In 2018, he launched the show’s companion audio podcast, Intentional Talk: Caught Listening. Millar returns after finishing 36th overall in last year’s Invited Celebrity Classic.

Wells Adams launched his radio career at 16 and spent 12 years in Nashville as a prominent morning show host. He then dipped his toe into television, appearing on the 12th season of The Bachelorette.  A fan favorite, Wells became the resident bartender and therapist on Bachelor In Paradise and continues today as a mainstay on the hit ABC show.  Additionally, Adams hosts Hulu’s Best In Dough, a popular pizza cooking competition, and two different podcasts. Your Favorite Thing Podcast is a weekly offering with Brandi Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' big sister, and daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus.  Wells also hosts a show with Food Network star Tyler Florence called Two Dudes In A Kitchen, in which the two talk about everything tasty. Married to famed Modern Family actor Sarah Hyland, Adams will compete in the Invited Celebrity Classic for the first time.

Maestro Dobel Ace Paloma Cocktail Ingredients:

COMPETITION: A number of Dallas-Fort Worth area PGA TOUR winners will be among the field at this year’s Invited Celebrity Classic, including the trio of David Toms, Steve Flesch, and Tim Herron, all of whom prevailed at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth prior to joining PGA TOUR Champions.

Winner of the 2001 PGA Championship, Toms also counts the 2011 Charles Schwab Challenge among his 13 career PGA TOUR victories. Since joining PGA TOUR Champions full time in 2017, Toms has added two more wins to his resume, including the 2018 U.S. Senior Open. During his five years on PGA TOUR Champions, Toms has never finished outside the top 15 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, and he kicked off his 2023 season with a T15 finish at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai.

One of just a handful of left-handed golfers on PGA TOUR Champions, Flesch earned the second of his four career PGA TOUR victories at the 2004 Charles Schwab Challenge. He’s coming off a successful 2022 campaign during which he won two PGA TOUR Champions events and finished 11th in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. He’ll look to improve on a T26 finish at last year’s Invited Celebrity Classic.

Affectionately known as “Lumpy,” Herron earned the last of his four PGA TOUR wins at Colonial Country Club in 2006. He debuted on PGA TOUR Champions during the COVID-impacted 2020-21 season and finished T2 at the Boeing Classic and T3 at the Principal Charity Classic as part of a successful rookie campaign. He backed that up with seven top-25 finishes last year, including a T-21 finish at the inaugural Invited Celebrity Classic.
