The Houston Club, established in 1894, is one of the oldest private clubs in the southwestern United States. The Club was founded by city leaders responsible for helping Houston evolve from a typical port city into the diverse, booming business center we know today. The Houston Club continues to boast a very distinguished membership. Many great leaders, including former President George H.W. Bush and former Secretary of State James Baker, have called The Houston Club home. Our time-honored traditions reinforce and grow the legacy that sets our Club apart from all others today.
