Allen's Landing takes its name from the site where August C. and John K. Allen came ashore in 1836, founding the city that would become Houston. Today, the restaurant carries that history forward through its setting and its cuisine, with Southern and Cajun influences on the menu, sweeping views, and historic memorabilia that shape the space's distinct dining experience.

Wine is a central part of life at The Houston Club, offering Members new discoveries alongside longtime favorites. An active Wine Club provides opportunities to expand your knowledge, while special dinners throughout the year introduce Members to wine and champagne makers from around the world. Members also enjoy access to an extensive wine collection and dedicated wine lockers, with themed evenings hosted by the Wine Committee.

Meet Our Executive Chef

Executive Chef Eric Romero leads the culinary program at The Houston Club, bringing years of experience and an award-winning background to the kitchen. His career began at Pappas BBQ when he was just 16 years old before taking him to Landry’s and The Art Institute of Houston. Since then, he has earned recognition as an ACF Culinary Silver Medalist and two-time winner of Corks and Forks Houston.

From business lunches and Member dinners to signature events and special celebrations, Chef Romero and his team craft memorable meals designed to be shared. Every dish reflects a commitment to the exceptional quality, thoughtful presentation, and warm hospitality that makes every visit to the Club unforgettable.

What dining options are available at the Club?

Full Bar & Lunch service Monday - Friday; Full Bar & Dinner service available Tuesday - Friday. Also, we offer the occasional weekend dining experience up on 49. Club Hours can occasionally vary, so please confirm by calling the club or by making a reservation.

Are non-members able to dine at the Club?

Dining is reserved for Members and their invited guests. From time to time, we host select ticketed events; availability is announced in advance.

What type of cuisine does the Club offer?

The Houston Club offers thoughtfully crafted cuisine with Southern and Cajun influences. Every dish reflects a commitment to exceptional quality, thoughtful presentation, and the warm hospitality that makes every visit to the Club unforgettable.

Are reservations required for dining?

Members are always encouraged to make a reservation, but as your private social club, we will always do our best to accommodate walk-ins.
