This is an excellent opportunity to see the city and surrounding landscape like never before. This event is intended to be social and introduce folks to the sailing world. Our featured speaker, Dr. Li-Rong Lilly Cheng, is a distinguished scholar, educator, and chair of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum (SDCHM) and founding director of the Chinese Cultural Center at San Diego State University (SDSU). She served as the past president of the San Diego Chinese American Women's League and the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders. With decades of experience in cross-cultural communication and community advocacy, Dr. Cheng will share powerful insights into the Chinese American experience and the importance of cultural preservation. She will also present stories from the museum’s inspiring program, Resilient Women of California’s Chinatowns, which highlights the strength and contributions of Chinese women from the 19th century to today—women who overcame adversity to shape and sustain their communities.
