Your Hasentree round begins with a 466-yard par-4 and closes with an uphill 472-yarder that plays longer than measured. Tom Fazio designed our course with unique features: a double green on the 10th hole and five par-3s, including one that measures 238 yards from the tips. Three of the four par-5s are reachable in two, a stimulating risk-reward feeling for golfers teeing it up amidst the rolling landscape of North Raleigh. Our course’s 7,074-yard, par-71 layout offers wide fairways and strategically placed 88 steep-faced bunkers in landing areas, tucking them around corners of doglegs and close to slick, sloping greens to test your skill levels.

Tee II 454

Tee III 428

Tee IV 386

Tee V 308

Pro Tips

This long up-hill slight dogleg left will challenge you right out of the gate. Keep your drive out of the left side fairway bunkers and you will have the best opportunity to make par. The green is deep with very subtle slope, so make sure you know the pin location.

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 440

Tee II 410

Tee III 395

Tee IV 314

Tee V 298

Pro Tips

The second is a moderate length slightly downhill par 4. The perfect drive is down the right side past the fairway bunker on the right. This leaves you a low to mid iron shot into a green that must stay right due to a false front running down the left side of the green.

Par: 3

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 195

Tee II 184

Tee III 175

Tee IV 158

Tee V 142

Pro Tips

Next is a beautiful downhill Par 3 where you’ll need to get your yardage right and aim for the middle of the green. The green slopes back to front with a slight false back right side. Shots long will filter to a closely mown area and the strokes will begin to add up.

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 443

Tee II 420

Tee III 396

Tee IV 379

Tee V 348

Pro Tips

The fourth is an awesome uphill straight away Par 4. A tee shot down the right side will filter off the hill and into the fairway. A drive left off the tee is where big numbers loom. Your approach into the green will filter off the front right greenside hill if you cannot carry your shot over the greenside bunkers to the left of the green. This is a tricky green with a slight ridge running through it.

Par: 5

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 539

Tee II 508

Tee III 494

Tee IV 461

Tee V 424

Pro Tips

The first par 5 on the course is your opportunity to make a birdie or better. The second shot after a good drive will get you close to the green if not on. The putting green has three tiers with a bowl section in the middle. Any shots long will be in trouble.

# 6 /

Par: 3

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 539

Tee II 508

Tee III 494

Tee IV 461

Tee V 424

Pro Tips

This long par 3 is well-protected by bunkers. Tee shots must carry on the green as a slight swale before the green catches’ shots just short. The green mostly slopes back left to front right.

# 7 /

Par: 5

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 594

Tee II 532

Tee III 481

Tee IV 450

Tee V 416

Pro Tips

This straightaway par 5 has plenty of open space off the tee. The second shot is a lay-up to a comfortable yardage and the fairway slopes to the left. Aggressive players must carry the large bunker 60 yards short of the green to have any chance of a birdie or par.

# 8 /

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 594

Tee II 532

Tee III 481

Tee IV 450

Tee V 416

Pro Tips

The eighth requires a drive right down the middle, so don’t be tempted with the left side. The approach ought to hit the center of the green. Anything right of the green will lead to a big number. The putting surface on this hole is possibly the most difficult on the property, as it slopes away from a dome in the center.

# 9 /

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 383

Tee II 370

Tee III 352

Tee IV 333

Tee V 310

Pro Tips

The tee shot on the ninth requires you to make a decision; play it safe with a 3 wood or hybrid, or take driver to the second fairway. The lower left fairway gives you a tougher approach and the second fairway will result in a short wedge shot in if you can pull it off.

# 10 /

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 388

Tee II 373

Tee III 353

Tee IV 333

Tee V 309

Pro Tips

The back nine begins with a short par 4 with a double green. If the upper green is in play, something less than a driver is needed to avoid the perfectly placed fairway bunker. This will leave a wedge or short-iron into a generous green sloping left-to-right. The lower green to the right plays very similar, although driver to the left side of the fairway give you a great angle and avoids the fairway bunker. Long hitters have an opportunity to drive the lower green depending on the tees and wind condition.

# 11 /

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 447

Tee II 426

Tee III 402

Tee IV 392

Tee V 238

Pro Tips

The eleventh is a slight dogleg right with fairway bunkers around the landing area off the tee. Anything down the right will be caught by the hill and result in an awkward second shot. Approach shots into the two-tiered green is downhill, where the preferred miss is short and right.

# 12 /

Par: 3

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 205

Tee II 196

Tee III 186

Tee IV 120

Tee V 109

Pro Tips

This par 3 features deep bunkers protecting the front left of the green. Players should aim for the middle of the green and avoid going left.

# 13 /

Par: 5

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 520

Tee II 505

Tee III 482

Tee IV 425

Tee V 378

Pro Tips

A birdie is possible with a good drive in the fairway on this par 5. Keep your second shot down the right side of the fairway to give yourself the best approach into this well-bunkered, two-tiered green.

# 14 /

Par: 3

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 182

Tee II 167

Tee III 166

Tee IV 157

Tee V 139

Pro Tips

The green on this par 3 slopes back-to-front and is protected on the right side, so a miss left is preferred.

# 15 /

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 367

Tee II 354

Tee III 336

Tee IV 302

Tee V 266

Pro Tips

This short par 4 plays uphill and features a left side that’s very well-protected. Off the tee, driver is not needed, but hitting the fairway is crucial, as it provides the best angle to the shallow, tiered green.

# 16 /

Par: 5

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 553

Tee II 545

Tee III 511

Tee IV 479

Tee V 443

Pro Tips

The final par 5 provides a great opportunity to make a birdie. The tee shot should split the fairway bunkers, which will set up a shot at hitting the green in two. Bunkers set 30-40 yards off the green might cause some players to lay-up. The green is large and anything long will release down a steep hill.

# 17 /

Par: 3

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 184

Tee II 171

Tee III 149

Tee IV 138

Tee V 119

Pro Tips

The final par 3 on the golf course is the shortest, but can also be the most difficult. Bunkers protect the green on all sides except long. The corners of this putting surface all slope away from the center, so hitting the middle is a good play.

# 18 /

Par: 4

Yardage by Tee:

Tee I 472

Tee II 452

Tee III 432

Tee IV 357

Tee V 342

Pro Tips

The last hole is a long, slightly uphill par 4 that’ll test your skill. Off the tee, players will want to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left, instead favoring the right-center of the fairway. The approach shot will be to an elevated green that slopes dramatically from center-to-front and back-right-to-center-left. You’ll want to hit the center of the green, as anything on the front may release back down the fairway.
