Meet Executive Chef Danika Beard

Chef Danika Beard has been honing her culinary skills from a young age – learning from the chefs on PBS, devouring classic cookbooks & studying both her grandmothers as they crafted cuisine for family meals.   

Chef Danika studied Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Dallas. She embarked on her career as a Culinary Supervisor at Hyatt Regency Tampa Bay, featuring New American mixed with an Italian influence. From there, Danika opened Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach as Chef Tournant of Shor American Seafood Grill. There she trained in fresh from the boat seafood dishes, classic French cuisine and high-volume steakhouse fare. She was blessed to return home to DFW as the Chef de Cuisine at Grand Hyatt DFW, leading the team in Grand Met to best in region food quality ranking. Under the direction of Chef Jean-Claude Plihon, this post challenged and elevated Chef Danika’s culinary skills into the fine dining world. In August 2021, she took the next step to become Executive Sous Chef at Stonebriar Country Club. Under the guidance of Chef Todd Phillips, she oversaw the Private & Member Events daily along with the creation and oversight of A La Carte dining. 

With a passion for creating traditional flavors with a modern twist, she has established herself as a culinary risk taker, crowd pleaser & innovator. Chef Beard looks forward to delivering her unique and memorable dining experiences for our members and guests.
