Our newly appointed Board of Governor and staple at City Club Raleigh, John Bianchi will lead you through a presentation on how to advertise online. A short introduction of John Bianchi: John Bianchi is a digital advertising professional and CEO of Blue Comet Media. They help small and medium-size companies make more money by optimizing their digital marketing through social media, paid ads, and digital campaigns. Blue Comet Media focuses on making sure companies understand the importance of setting up their digital foundations correctly so they can implement fluent campaigns to their target customer. What is more of an August tradition - Football season starts and tailgating or a big bash when "school" starts again? An evening for our Young Executives to have a blast at our Tailgate Mixer, sponsored by Southern Pines Brewery! With their excellent beer options we will have some prizes, beer tastings and much more! Food will be on theme for tailgating, beer and other cold beverages will be found in our cash bar and some fun lawn games will be part of the evening. Complimentary event | Cash Bar.

Cocktail 101 With Stephen

Come join us at the club for Cocktail 101 with one of City Club Raleigh's bartenders, Stephen Walker! This will be an interactive class as Stephen teaches you how to make the perfect cocktails for any occasion you have. Since cocktails are best enjoyed with others, we will have you in groups to work together as you perfect your cocktails and then taste them together. You will get to taste 5 different cocktails: Tequila Sunrise, Cosmopolitan, Edmisten (Smoked Manhattan), Whiskey Sour, and a Corpse Reviver. We only have 20 seats left for this event, and there is a charge of $60++.

The new a la carte brunch menu our amazing Executive Chef Jason Starnes has put together is mouth watering. Purse Drive Bring a gently used or new purse to the luncheon to support unemployed women at Dress for Success Triangle. Your donation will make an interview outfit complete for an underserved woman who is seeking employment and financial independence. The Power of the Purse - Event How career coaching is even more important than image coaching and that volunteering is as important as donating. This lunch event with Dress for Success and Women's Giving Network will be led by Amy Pirozzolo, Head of Marketing with Fidelity Charitable and Karen Johnson, Development Director for Dress For Success Triangle. 11:30am-12pm: Networking 12-1pm: Lunch and Learn 1-1:30pm: Q&A $35++ for Invited Clubs members and guests Introduction of our moderators: Amy Pirozzolo is head of marketing at Fidelity Charitable®, an independent public charity that has helped donors support more than 357,000 nonprofit organizations with $61 billion in grants.1 The mission of Fidelity Charitable® is to grow the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make charitable giving accessible, simple, and effective. Ms. Pirozzolo assumed her current role in 2013. Experienced in both consumer and business-to-business marketing at marquee brands across a variety of industries, Ms. Pirozzolo is responsible for leading all aspects of marketing for Fidelity Charitable, including driving awareness for donor-advised funds, fundraising support, donor and nonprofit engagement strategy, and new program launches. Ms. Pirozzolo also serves on the team supporting the Fidelity Charitable Trustees’ Initiative. Prior to her current role, Ms. Pirozzolo spent nearly 20 years in Fidelity’s Workplace Investing organization, where she held a variety of leadership positions honing her experience in acquisition, client development, retention, and product marketing. During her tenure, she helped establish Fidelity as a leading 401(k) provider for more than 17,000 small to midsized businesses. Prior to joining Fidelity Investments®, Ms. Pirozzolo held various marketing roles at Easy Spirit Shoes and LensCrafters. Ms. Pirozzolo also volunteers her time serving as chair of the board for Freedom United, the world’s largest advocacy organization committed to ending modern-day slavery and human trafficking. Additionally, she is President of the Women’s Giving Network of Wake County (North Carolina). Ms. Pirozzolo is also a member of the Triangle American Marketing Association (AMA) where she co-founded and co-leads the CMO networking group. Karen Johnson is the Development Director for Dress for Success Triangle. She began her career in the non-profit space in 2015 after corporate roles in product research, and marketing and sales with General Motors in Michigan and New York, and then Johnson & Johnson, Inc. in Connecticut. Karen’s passion for supporting Dress for Success has grown since she served on the Board of Directors for the affiliate in Fairfield County, Connecticut. When she returned to Raleigh, she began volunteering with the newly formed affiliate, which led to a marketing role and ultimately fundraising. “I absolutely love my job. We see women transformed almost daily and it’s not just the clients who are changed, it’s the staff and volunteers as well. To hear the stories of women who get the job they want or embrace a newfound confidence is powerful.
