Summer Family Days - Family Decathlon
SUMMER FAMILY DAYS | FAMILY DECATHLON Saturday, July 27 | Blackstone Country Club 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cost: $15/Person Gather your family and friends (guest welcome) for an athletic competition followed by lunch at the pool where we will award medals and prize packages to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Our decathlon will consist of 10 events where family members will complete different fitness and sports related activities. Each event will take the family anywhere from 5-15 minutes to complete. Examples of some of the events: -Family Dash and Haul Challenge, where families will work to move as much weight from one end of the event lawn to the other in a set amount of time. -Family Bike Challenge: Family members will take turns to complete as many meters as possible in 10 minutes on 2 bikes. -Family Tennis Rally: Each member will be given a set number of serves. Every returned serve will score one point. The 2 highest scores from the family will be scored and added to the family overall points. Families will be ranked and awarded points for each event completed. At the end of the 10 events, the family with the most points will be our gold medal champions! Competitors will be provided a lunch at the pool after finishing while we tally up the scores. Prizes and medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place families. Must have 2 members to compete. There is no max for number.
