BLACKSTONE COURSE INFO

The Blackstone Course is a Jay Morrish-designed, 18-hole championship course in Aurora, Colorado, stretching 7,313 yards from the back tees and framed by Rocky Mountain views. Shaped by the natural prairie landscape, the course features rolling fairways, strategic bunkers, water features, four sets of tees, and a memorable back-nine stretch known as “The Gauntlet.”

Pro’s Tip:

The course opens with a straightaway par 4 with native grass on each side of the fairway. Strategically placed bunkers on the right must also be avoided. Aiming for the 150 post off the tee is a good play. The second shot will play downhill with total elevation change from tee-to-green of about 50 feet.

Pro’s Tip:

The aiming point on this par 5 is just left of the 250 post in the fairway to avoid the water. Players going for the green in two should aim to the left side of this multi-tiered green which is protected by water on the right.

The third is a par 3 with a semi-blind tee shot. The green is multi-tiered, so club selection is important to get it close.

A tee shot that lands near the 150 post sets up the best approach, as going too far will result in a severely downhill lie. The approach plays downhill and must carry and arroyo on the way to the green that’s wider than it is deep.

An arroyo separates the tee box and fairway, creating an extra obstacle on this straightway, uphill par 4. Players should make sure their approach shot has enough distance to cover the greenside bunker that separates the two false fronts.

Pro’s Tip:

Fairway bunkers on the right and water on the left mean an accurate tee shot is the key to this dogleg left par 5. The landing area is generous for a lay-up, however, players should favor the left side as the fairway slopes from left-to-right. When going for the green in two, favoring the left side will help as this small, two-tiered green slopes from left-to-right and back-to-front. It’s also guarded by water on the right and bunkers on the left.

Once again, use the 150 post for alignment on this uphill par 4. The fairway is protected by bunkers on the right and long rough on the left. A well-positioned tee shot will leave a short to mid-iron into this two-tiered green.

The back nine opens with a downhill par 4 that’s protected by native grasses on both sides of the fairway and bunkers on the right. The green is three-tiered, so hitting the approach the right distance is important if players hope to two-putt.

The eleventh is a long uphill par 4 with a fairway that slopes hard from right-to-left. The best angle into the green is from the right center of the fairway. This green is protected by bunkers on both sides and slopes right-to-left.

The par 3, twelfth plays downhill to a green that slopes right-to-left and is protected by a bunker front-right. Anything long will find the native grass, making an up-and-down difficult.

The thirteenth is the signature hole and the beginning of a challenging four-hole stretch. It features the most difficult tee shot on the course, where players must avoid the fairway bunkers down the right with a fairway that slopes right-to-left with an arroyo running the entire right side. Players must carry the arroyo on the second shot to a second fairway. Avoiding the fairway bunker on the left side of the second fairway is important. The third shot also must carry the arroyo on the way to this two-tiered green.

Pro’s Tip:

The tee shot on this par 4 should favor the right side to avoid the two hidden bunkers in the center of the fairway. An arroyo crosses the fairway on the second shot on the way to a green that’s also guarded by the arroyo in front. Two bunkers and two beautiful Cottonwood trees also protect the green and must be split to get a good look at birdie.

This par 4 plays slightly uphill off the tee and features a generous landing area. Tee shots must also carry the arroyo. The approach shot plays downhill and must carry the arroyo and the front bunkers on the way to a green that runs from front-to-back.

Pro’s Tip:

The closing hole is a slight dogleg left par 4 with water running down the left side from tee-to-green. The aiming point off the tee is the bunker on the right. Longer hitters can challenge the left side leaving a very short second. The green is a multi-level green, so being on the right side is important.

Can I play the course with my membership?

Yes. Golf Members enjoy full access to golf, along with practice facilities and club amenities that support both casual and competitive play. Depending on your chosen tier (such as Premier Dual Club Golf, Signature Dual Club Golf, or Select Black Bear Golf), your membership includes access to one or both golf courses along with 10-day advance tee times.

How many golf courses does your Club have?

The Club provides a two-club private membership experience featuring two separate 18-hole courses for a collective total of 36 holes of golf.

Do you offer golf instruction?

Absolutely. The Club offers professional instruction led by experienced golf professionals, with private lessons, group clinics, and player development programs designed for all skill levels.

Are golf programs available for juniors?

Yes. Junior golfers can participate in a variety of programs focused on skill-building, sportsmanship, and fun. From introductory clinics to more advanced training opportunities, the Club fosters a strong foundation and love for the game.
