COURSE INFO

The Seminole Course at White Oak Golf Club in Newnan, Georgia—just south of Atlanta—first debuted as an 18-hole championship course in 1986. Two additional nines were added in 1987 and 1990, creating the 36-hole layout Members enjoy today. Designed by Rocky Roquemore, the club has long been a favorite among Atlanta-area golfers and their guests.

Holes: 18  Par: 72   Rating: 74.5  Slope: 144  Yardage: 7,253

1st Hole

Par 4 · 398

Pro’s Tip:
This is a short par 4 that runs right of the driving range. A tee shot in the left side of the fairway can run into a pond. Lay back off the tee or make sure you stay on the right side of the fairway to avoid trouble.

Tee 2: 370

Tee 3: 351

Tee 4: 301

Tee 5: 301

Tee 6: 301

2nd Hole

Par 3 · 169

Pro’s Tip:
This par 3 has a pond left of the green and a bunker right of it. It is not a long par 3, center of the green for safety on all sides.

Tee 1: 169

Tee 2: 150

Tee 3: 141

Tee 4: 117

Tee 5: 117

Tee 6: 117

3rd Hole

Par 5 · 481

Pro’s Tip:
This is a short par 5 dog leg right. There is a creek that splits the fairway in two. The more creek you take on, the shorter the second shot to potentially reach in two.

Tee 2: 453

Tee 4: 418

Tee 5: 351

Tee 6: 325

4th Hole

Par 4 · 369

Pro’s Tip:
This short par 4 is a scorable hole. There is a creek that runs the length of the whole down the left side, so make sure you use the bailout room right. You have a green light once you are in the fairway.

5th Hole

Par 4 · 390

Pro’s Tip:
A very straightforward par 4 with a ton of room to miss left off of the tee. This green is guarded by bunkers on all sides and slops back to front. Important to play from under the hole to have the easiest putt.

Tee 4: 314

Tee 5: 314

Tee 6: 255

6th Hole

Par 5 · 523

Pro’s Tip:
This par 5 can be reached in two by longer hitters, if you cannot get there in two it is important to lay back short of the retaining wall that is short of the green. Getting too close will leave an impossible shot to get on the green.

Tee 3: 466

Tee 4: 466

Tee 5: 394

Tee 6: 301

7th Hole

Par 4 · 390

Pro’s Tip:
This is the number 1 handicap hole on the course. A dog leg left with hazards running the left and right side of the fairway, it is a tough tee shot. The green is very small with undulation and protection from bunkers both short and long. Knowing your numbers is key here.

Tee 1: 390

Tee 2: 361

Tee 3: 336

Tee 4: 309

Tee 5: 307

Tee 6: 273

8th Hole

Par 3 · 196

Pro’s Tip:
This par 3 plays difficult with no solid place to miss. There is a very large slop in this green from back to front, so missing long is a dead zone.

Tee 1: 196

Tee 2: 172

Tee 3: 162

Tee 4: 142

Tee 5: 142

Tee 6: 80

9th Hole

Par 4 · 401

Pro’s Tip:
This is a challenging hole as it has a 90 degree dog leg left. A fairway bunker sits where the fairway runs out. Find the fairway and aim for middle of green here for safety.

Tee 2: 389

Tee 3: 377

Tee 4: 317

Tee 5: 317

Tee 6: 247

10th Hole

Par 5 · 523

Pro’s Tip:
This par 5 is protected by a very difficult green. It is oddly shaped and has very small landing areas. Find a comfortable number that you can be precise with your shot into this green to avoid the surrounding bunkers.

Tee 1: 523

Tee 2: 510

Tee 3: 500

Tee 4: 439

Tee 5: 439

Tee 6: 376

11th Hole

Par 4 · 338

Pro’s Tip:
Here we have a par 4 that we can be aggressive. A short par 4 with a wide landing area. The green is small, but with a short iron or wedge in had it provides a very good scoring opportunity.

Tee 1: 338

Tee 2: 330

Tee 3: 312

Tee 4: 312

Tee 5: 258

Tee 6: 217

12th Hole

Par 4 · 331

Pro’s Tip:
Another short par 4, uphill and to the left, but the second shot is the most important. This green is divided into two tiers from back to front. Being on the incorrect tier calls for a very difficult two putt no matter where the pin location is.

Tee 1: 331

Tee 2: 321

Tee 3: 311

Tee 4: 224

Tee 5: 224

Tee 6: 149

13th Hole

Par 3 · 179

Pro’s Tip:
A downhill par 3 with a green sloping back to front. Any miss long calls for a very difficult up and down ahead of you. Any shot to the center of the green will reward you with a fairly straightforward two putt.

Tee 1: 179

Tee 2: 171

Tee 3: 148

Tee 4: 148

Tee 5: 101

Tee 6: 101

14th Hole

Par 4 · 333

Pro’s Tip:
Short straight par 4 measuring only 333 yards from the tips. High risk to go for this green with water in front of green. Take a long iron or hybrid off the tee and you will have a short iron approach shot to make that birdie.

Tee 1: 333

Tee 2: 313

Tee 3: 307

Tee 4: 307

Tee 5: 245

Tee 6: 240

15th Hole

Par 3 · 169

Pro’s Tip:
This is a shorter par 3 without too much danger. Avoid the bunkers. The green can get tricky with a back right pin placement.

Tee 2: 149

Tee 3: 143

Tee 4: 143

Tee 5: 127

Tee 6: 90

16th Hole

Par 4 · 380

Pro’s Tip:
Nice dog leg left. Small draw off the tee should leave you a shorter iron into this hole. Approach shot plays a little uphill. The green slopes downward from back to front. Staying below the hole should give you an easier putt.

Tee 1: 380

Tee 2: 368

Tee 3: 356

Tee 4: 291

Tee 5: 291

Tee 6: 222

17th Hole

Par 5 · 553

Pro’s Tip:
Being a long hitter on this par 5 doesn’t give you much advantage. Trees all the way down the right side makes it a hard green to hit in two. Play it safe off the tee and lay up for a good distance for you third approach shot.

Tee 1: 553

Tee 2: 525

Tee 3: 493

Tee 4: 463

Tee 5: 463

Tee 6: 347

18th Hole

Par 4 · 416

Pro’s Tip:
This uphill par 4 is one of the hardest holes in the state. Tight fairway with bunkers left and tall pines trees to the right. OB on both left and right sides. Easley club up two clubs for the uphill approach. Good luck! You make a par here enjoy a cocktail on the 19th hole.
