COURSE INFO

The Old Course at White Oak Golf Club in Newnan, Georgia—just south of Atlanta—first debuted as an 18-hole championship course in 1986. Two additional nines were added in 1987 and 1990, creating the 36-hole layout Members enjoy today. Designed by Rocky Roquemore, the club has long been a favorite among Atlanta-area golfers and their guests.

Holes: 18  Par: 72  Rating: 74.5  Slope: 144  Yardage: 7,253

1st Hole

Par 4 · 405

Pro’s Tip:
Slightly uphill Par 4. A good aiming point is just right of the fairway bunkers, you can get closed out by trees on the right side of the fairway. Club up on your approach shot.

Tee 1: 405

Tee 2: 387

Tee 3: 370

Tee 4: 351

Tee 5: 351

Tee 6: 274

2nd Hole

Par 5 · 552

Pro’s Tip:
Straight away Par 5. Longer hitters can clear the hill landing your ball on the downslope and getting an extra 20 yards off the tee. Bunkers surrounding the green. Very reachable Par 5. Be cautious of OB both left and right off the tee.

Tee 1: 552

Tee 2: 537

Tee 3: 520

Tee 4: 470

Tee 5: 470

Tee 6: 377

3rd Hole

Par 3 · 203

Pro’s Tip:
Lengthy down hill Par 3. The green is guarded with bunkers front, back and to the right. Club down, but don’t hold back making sure you clear the bunker on front of the green.

Tee 1: 203

Tee 2: 177

Tee 3: 152

Tee 4: 126

Tee 5: 126

Tee 6: 126

4th Hole

Par 4 · 391

Pro’s Tip:
This is one of the signature holes on the Old Course. If you hit your driver too long you can hit into the water though the fairway. Laying to much off could also put you into the water that’s on the right side of the fairway. Hitting a 225 yard tee shot on the left side of the fairway should avoid danger. Approach shot is all carry of water to the green.

Tee 1: 391

Tee 2: 366

Tee 3: 342

Tee 4: 342

Tee 5: 246

Tee 6: 152

5th Hole

Par 5 · 497

Pro’s Tip:
The second Par 5 is one of the easiest holes. Short straight away hole. Keep it straight having OB on both sides of the hole. A creek runs all the way down to the left side of the hole to the green.

Tee 1: 497

Tee 2: 485

Tee 3: 470

Tee 4: 393

Tee 5: 393

Tee 6: 336

6th Hole

Par 4 · 348

Pro’s Tip:
This straight away short par 4 is a hole to birdie. Using an iron off the tee can keep OB danger out of play. Hit the drive 200 yards off the tee leaves you only 148 yards to the green from the back tee box.

Tee 1: 348

Tee 2: 319

Tee 3: 314

Tee 4: 314

Tee 5: 223

Tee 6: 223

7th Hole

Par 4 · 397

Pro’s Tip:
This dog leg left is a challenging hole off the tee. Play the ball down the right side of the fairway. Big hitters could take it into the trees on the right requiring hitting a baby draw.

Tee 1: 397

Tee 2: 372

Tee 3: 363

Tee 4: 299

Tee 5: 299

Tee 6: 219

8th Hole

Par 3 · 211

Pro’s Tip:
The second par 3 on the front nine is a long downhill shot with bunkers both left and right of the green. The green slops majorly back to front with a narrow entrance to the front of the green. Anything on the center of the green is a good shot.

Tee 1: 211

Tee 2: 181

Tee 3: 174

Tee 4: 148

Tee 5: 148

Tee 6: 117

9th Hole

Par 4 · 414

Pro’s Tip:
With OB both left and right, hitting the fairway here is a must. The second shot poses difficulties as it plays uphill to a small green with bunkers surrounding it. Can attack left pin locations.

Tee 1: 414

Tee 2: 391

Tee 3: 384

Tee 4: 320

Tee 5: 320

Tee 6: 210

10th Hole

Par 4 · 405

Pro’s Tip:
This hole is a slight dogleg to the right and downhill. Left side of the fairway leaves a good birdie opportunity as the green is large and does not have any tricks to it.

Tee 1: 405

Tee 2: 378

Tee 3: 349

Tee 4: 308

Tee 5: 308

Tee 6: 249

11th Hole

Par 5 · 552

Pro’s Tip:
This is a long par 5 with a huge dog leg left. The farther left you hit your tee shot, the better the opportunity to get on in 2. Avoid the bunkers short right of the green as the green is two tiered.

Tee 1: 552

Tee 2: 511

Tee 3: 498

Tee 4: 420

Tee 5: 420

Tee 6: 360

12th Hole

Par 3 · 203

Pro’s Tip:
This par 3 it is important to get on the right tier of the green. There is a severe slope that divides the green front to back. Putting or chipping on this green can be difficult if not near the correct tier.

Tee 1: 203

Tee 2: 160

Tee 3: 139

Tee 4: 139

Tee 5: 110

Tee 6: 110

13th Hole

Par 4 · 391

Pro’s Tip:
Here we have a downhill dog leg left. Driver is not required for all off of the tee, it is important to avoid the fairway bunker on the right. Once you find the fair way this leaves a straightforward second shot.

Tee 1: 391

Tee 2: 393

Tee 3: 375

Tee 4: 316

Tee 5: 316

Tee 6: 216

14th Hole

Par 5 · 497

Pro’s Tip:
The second par 5 on this nine is a shorter hole and very gettable. Longer hitters will want to stay left of fairway bunker to cut off as much of the corner as possible. It is important to set yourself up to have uphill putts on this hole as there is some severe slope.

Tee 1: 497

Tee 2: 492

Tee 3: 455

Tee 4: 441

Tee 5: 441

Tee 6: 387

15th Hole

Par 3 · 348

Pro’s Tip:
This par 3 is one of the more difficult holes on the course as it requires a carry over water. There is a bailout area right of the green, but a bunker long. Center of the green is a safe shot.

Tee 1: 348

Tee 2: 152

Tee 3: 145

Tee 4: 124

Tee 5: 124

Tee 6: 95

16th Hole

Par 4 · 379

Pro’s Tip:
This hole is a dogleg right with OB on both sides. It is not an overly long hole, so once you find the fairway here you have a green light to go make birdie.

Tee 1: 379

Tee 2: 364

Tee 3: 348

Tee 4: 287

Tee 5: 287

Tee 6: 287

17th Hole

Par 4 · 328

Pro’s Tip:
This is a drivable par 4 for the longer hitters. The green is guarded by bunkers on all sides but is a birdie hole for all players. Fairway is the priority.

Tee 1: 328

Tee 2: 318

Tee 3: 294

Tee 4: 294

Tee 5: 256

Tee 6: 191

18th Hole

Par 4 · 403

Pro’s Tip:
This is a downhill dogleg right that usually requires less than driver as there is water where the fairway runs out. It is a difficult hole, as you need to push the ball as close as you can to the water to get around the corner of the dogleg. Second shot has water on the left the entire way, tread lightly with left pins.

Tee 1: 403

Tee 2: 373

Tee 3: 352

Tee 4: 323

Tee 5: 323

Tee 6: 230
