Planterra Club has long been a destination for recreation and belonging. Our vision is to provide a private club experience where championship golf, engaging social life, and wellness come together seamlessly.

From our beautifully designed golf course to amenities like swimming and dining, Planterra has grown into a vibrant community where Members can enjoy both activity and relaxation. Over the years, the club has cultivated a welcoming atmosphere, blending exceptional facilities with memorable events and traditions. Today, Planterra continues to evolve, guided by Members, anchored in excellence, and built on a foundation of connection.

The lake was first planned for the area in the 1960s.

Planterra Club Opens

Planterra Club welcomes its first Members, establishing a private club destination focused on championship golf, social connection, and family-friendly amenities.

Community Development

The surrounding Peachtree City community expanded, positioning Planterra as a central hub for recreation and lifestyle.

Expansion of Amenities

The club added tennis, pickleball, bocce, fitness, dining, and social spaces, creating a well-rounded club experience for Members of all ages.

Wellness and Lifestyle Growth

Planterra introduced new fitness programming, spa services, and social events, emphasizing holistic wellness and enriching Member life.

In the years through 2012, the area intended for the lake was often filled with brush and trees. On the 18th hole, golfers could reportedly play from the "lake" bed if their shot went off-line.

Lake McIntosh was finally filled with water, drastically changing the course's layout, hazards, and views.

The club underwent a complete renovation, which included updates to the practice facilities, short-game area, and the opening of a new restaurant called The Cut.

Planterra continues to enhance its amenities, programming, and events calendar, ensuring Members enjoy an engaging, connected, and memorable club experience.

What does my membership include?
Membership at Planterra extends beyond the club itself, offering access to sister clubs in Peachtree City and Newnan through the Invited network. Members enjoy use of the clubhouse, pool, fitness center, racquet facilities, and a robust calendar of social events. Golf Members also receive XLife benefits, including preferred access and discounts at other participating clubs nationwide, as well as exclusive dining perks.
Who is included in a membership?
Membership typically includes the primary member, spouse, and dependent children living at home or enrolled full-time in college up to a specified age. Each family member enjoys access to the amenities, events, and programs within their membership category.
How do I join a club?
Interested individuals can schedule a private tour with the Membership Director to explore the club’s amenities, learn about membership options, and experience the welcoming community firsthand. Applications can be initiated after your tour, and the team will guide you through the simple enrollment process.
What are the initiation fees and monthly dues?
Initiation fees and monthly dues vary based on the type of membership selected. Full Golf Membership carries a higher initiation fee and monthly rate due to the expanded access and privileges, while Limited Golf and Social Memberships are offered at lower price points. Current rates can be provided by the Membership Director upon request.
Are there restrictions or blackout times for using amenities?
Some membership levels and benefits have usage limits or restrictions. For example, reciprocal rounds at other clubs or discounted dining privileges may be subject to availability and advance reservation windows. The Membership Director can provide details on access and scheduling policies for each tier.
Can I use my membership at other clubs?
Yes. Members enjoy the benefits of Invited’s national network, which includes hundreds of golf, dining, and social clubs across the country. Depending on your membership level, you can play golf at other Invited clubs for cart fees only, dine with member discounts, and access select fitness or racquet facilities while traveling.
How do I schedule a tour of the club?
Reach out to our Membership Team to book an appointment - use the inquiry form, call the club, or email your preferred date/time. Private tours are scheduled throughout the week.
How far in advance should I book?
For larger events, we recommend planning several months ahead to secure your ideal date. Smaller outings may be scheduled with shorter notice, based on availability.
What is the dress code?
Resort-casual in the clubhouse; proper golf or tennis attire on the course and courts. Soft-spike golf shoes only. Fitness apparel is for the gym; swimwear requires a cover-up outside the pool area. Please avoid ripped denim, cut-offs, and gym wear in dining spaces.
How do I schedule a tour of the club?

Can I bring a guest to the club?
Yes. Guests are welcome when accompanied by a Member (or pre-registered), and standard guest fees/policies apply for golf, racquets, fitness, and aquatics. Please check in at reception or the appropriate shop on arrival.
What is the best way to reserve a tee time?
Use the Member app/online portal for the fastest booking, or contact the Golf Shop for assistance with pairings and special requests. Standard advance-booking and cancellation windows apply.
