Pro’s Tip:

A straightaway par 4 with water and hazards right. Your best bet is to play to the left side of the fairway to give your best shot into the green. It's better to be short of the green than long as a hazard comes into play.

Pro’s Tip:

A dogleg-left par 4 that plays best with a long iron or fairway wood. Your best angle of attack on this hole is to play short of the bunker on the left off the tee. Do not overshoot this green as a hazard is directly behind the green.

Pro’s Tip:

A Long uphill dogleg-right Par 5 that features two large bunkers on the left and water right. Your best route off the tee is to fly the bunkers on the left if you can do so. If not, aim over the right side of the bunkers on the left as the fairway throws shots left to right. Best to hit a long iron into green on second shot leaving a wedge shot into the green. Birdie is very manageable here.

A downhill par 3 with bunker and water right. Pay close attention to the wind coming off the pond on this hole as club selection is key on this par 3.

Pro’s Tip:

A slight dogleg left that requires a well-positioned tee ball. A large fairway bunker on the left and trees on the right make hitting this fairway a premium. A long iron or hybrid is best for this hole, leaving a full wedge into this green. Green slopes from back to front.

Pro’s Tip:

A daunting tee shot over a large ravine makes this par 3 demanding. A bunker guards the front side of this green and a hazard lurks on the right. Go left side short of green or front left of the green. Par is great score here. Pay attention to wind as this hole plays 1-2 clubs longer when into the wind.

Pro’s Tip:

A slight dogleg right. Long hitters can try and challenge the bunker on the right for a shorter approach shot. The green has a false front and slopes from right to left as well as back to front. This challenging hole will test the best iron players because any shot into the green that lands on the left side of the green will roll off into the collection area.

Pro’s Tip:

A medium length par 5 with bunkers left and right. Out of bounds looms to the right the entire length of the hole and trees and bunkers guard the left. A well-positioned drive will allow the golfer an option of going for the green in two. A small bunker guards the front of the green. If the pin is on the left, aim left of the bunker for best angle of attack in to green. If pin is on the right or center, it's best to play down the right side.

Pro’s Tip:

A long uphill par 4 with out of bounds right and thick rough left. The approach shot into this green is critical as over the green leaves a delicate pitch to a green that runs back to front. It is much better to be short than long on approach.

A straightaway par 4. The approach shot plays about half a club longer than the yardage. Avoid the green side bunker on the left.

A tight risk/reward par 4. The brave of heart can try and drive the green or lay up with a long iron or hybrid, which will leave a full wedge into this green. Out of bounds lines the entire right side of the hole and a pond is present on the left and comes into play off the tee. The smart play is to leave yourself a full wedge into the green.

Pro’s Tip:

A dogleg-left par 5 that requires precision off the tee. The fairway bottlenecks about 245-250 yards from the white tee. Best play is to hit about a 235 to 240-yard drive which will then leave you about 250 yards into the green. Leave yourself full wedge into the green.

An uphill par 3 that plays 1-2 clubs more into the green. Water comes in to play left and short of the green. Pay attention to the wind off the pond to gauge correct club selection.

This long par 4 requires an accurate tee shot. There is out of bounds down the right hand side and trees that can block you out down the left side. Favor the left side on the approach shot because the green side bunker is challenging to make par out of.

The second consecutive long par 4 is a great test of golf. Avoid the right side off the tee. A fairly flat green allows for birdie putts to fall – the challenge is getting there in 2.

Pro’s Tip:

The signature hole at Piedmont! A reachable par 5 in two will require a drive over the bunker on the right. The fairway funnels downhill to an uphill green that is heavily guarded by bunkers on the left. If you have under 200 in to the green, a long-mid iron approach up the bottleneck to the green will leave you an excellent chance at eagle or birdie. Be aware of the false front as balls that are hit on the front on green will roll off down the hill (slightly).

How many golf courses does your Club have?

The Club features one 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Fazio that meanders through historic grounds and foothills.

What makes golf at your Club unique?

Our course is a 7,033-yard, Par-72 championship layout nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains with a course rating of 73.8 and a slope of 138. It features rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, subtly contoured greens, and Hole #8 as its signature hole.

Can I play the course with my membership?

Yes. Golf Members enjoy full access to golf, along with practice facilities and club amenities that support both casual and competitive play.

Do you offer golf instruction?

Absolutely. The Club offers professional instruction led by experienced golf professionals, with private lessons, group clinics, and player development programs designed for all skill levels.

Are golf programs available for juniors?

Yes. Junior golfers can participate in a variety of programs focused on skill-building, sportsmanship, and fun. From introductory clinics to more advanced training opportunities, the Club fosters a strong foundation and love for the game.

Do you offer private golf lessons?
