With a course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate opened in 2001 as the centerpiece of the LionsGate community in Overland Park. From the beginning, the Club was envisioned as more than a championship golf destination, pairing an 18-hole Signature Design course with exceptional dining, recreation, and opportunities to connect. Today, that vision continues through a welcoming, Member-focused Club where golf, family, and community come together.

OUR STORY

Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate was designed by Jack Nicklaus to take advantage of the area's natural contours, mature trees, and scenic beauty. He intentionally designed wide fairway corridors that reward strategic thinking instead of punishing misses, creating a course that's enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The Club’s championship pedigree includes hosting both Champions Tour professionals and the next generation of PGA TOUR players through the Korn Ferry Tour.

Since its opening in 2001, the Club has grown into a full private club community with golf, swimming, dining, and year-round social experiences that bring Members together both on and off the course. It’s that sense of continuity that defines Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate, a place where Members build lasting connections and are welcomed by a team that knows them by name.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the dress code?
Country club casual in the clubhouse; proper golf or tennis attire on the courses and courts. Soft-spike golf shoes only. Swimwear requires a cover-up outside the pool area. Please avoid ripped denim, cut-offs, and active wear in the clubhouse.
How do I schedule a tour of the Club?
Reach out to our Membership Team to book an appointment - use the inquiry form, call the Club, or email your preferred date/time. Private tours are scheduled throughout the week.
Are non-members able to dine at the Club?
Dining is reserved for Members and their invited guests. From time to time, we host select ticketed events; availability is announced in advance.
Can I bring a guest to the Club?
Yes. Guests are welcome when accompanied by a Member (or pre-registered), and standard guest fees/policies apply. Please check in at the Pro Shop counter upon arrival.

Does the Club only offer golf memberships?
No. We offer a variety of membership options with different levels of access and benefits to fit your needs and lifestyle.
What amenities does the Club offer?
Amenities at LionsGate include an 18-hole Nicklaus-designed golf course, a Simulator Lounge featuring two TrackMan golf simulators, full-service dining with a bar and outdoor patio, a dedicated Conference Room for meetings, and a variety of Member golf leagues, tournaments, and social events.
Do Members have access to other Clubs?
Yes. Through our XLife benefits, you gain access to a national network of 350+ private clubs and special privileges at partner resorts, hotels, and city clubs across the country.
