Saturday Functional Fitness with Sam 9-10am
Functional fitness training is a type of strength training that prepares your body for daily activities. These exercises equip you for the most important type of physical fitness, the kind that preps you for real-life, daily living stuff like bending, twisting, lifting, loading, pushing, pulling, squatting and hauling. Most functional fitness contains multi-joint movement patterns that involve your knees, hips, spine, elbows, wrists, and shoulders, which all build strength and improve your range of motion along with mobility for racquet sports and golf. This class will benefit the individual looking to warm-up or cool-down after playing racquet sports like tennis and pickleball or even before playing golf. Saturday Qigong with Anthony 10:30-11:30am
What is Qigong? Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for thousands of years. It is a type of meditative discipline centered around the traditional Chinese medicine belief that Qi, or energy, must flow throughout the body to achieve and maintain health. The practice of Qigong involves the use of slow, deliberate movements and relaxed breathing patterns to encourage the flow of Qi. This prevents stagnation of the body’s energy, which is thought to lead to health problems. It is also used to help relax the mind. The movements in Qigong are low-impact and easy on the joints and muscles. The movement is not fast enough to increase the heart rate, which means it does not serve as cardiovascular exercise. Instead, the main benefits are encouraging the flow of Qi, or energy, and improving circulation, balance, spinal alignment, and strength. No weights are used in a Qigong class. Sunday Spin with Kari 9-10am - Group Room
High-energy, indoor cycling will challenge your ideas about cardio, offering an enjoyable, music-based class that is fun for all levels! Through a mix of interval training, climbs, endurance rides and sprints, you’ll be sure to work up a sweat as you pedal along to the beat. Training on a bike makes this workout low impact on the joints, but plenty challenging. Make this class as intense as you wish—it is YOUR ride! Monday Small Group Training* with Brittany 10:30 - 11:30am - Outdoors
Accelerate your results with Small Group Training: Functional Movement and Metabolic Intervals. Participants will learn new exercises and techniques to fast track your fitness goals. We'll assess current fitness levels, movement, and limitations to customize a program that best suits the needs of all participants in the group. Led by a Certified Personal Trainer. $20.00 per participant with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 participants. This class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Do not be surprised if your class incorporates light handheld weights to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work, fitness balls, and resistant bands. Tuesday Aquafit with Brittany 10:15-11am - Adult Pool
Aquafit is a challenging water workout, fit for everyone, especially those with joint ailments or injuries. The class begins with a gentle warm-up in the pool’s 86-degree water. From there, you’ll ease into the exercises using your own body weight, water resistance dumbbells, noodles, and other water resistant equipment. High-intensity meets low-impact in this challenging fitness class that is designed for all levels. Barre will strengthen and lengthen every muscle in your body by combining elements from traditional yoga, ballet, sports conditioning, cardio intervals, and Pilates. What to expect: Barre bootcamp classes typically include barre sequences, mat exercises, cardio intervals, and upbeat music. High-energy 45-minute, indoor cycling will challenge your ideas about cardio, offering an enjoyable, music-based class that is fun for all levels! Friday Barre with Jane 7:30-8:30am
This class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Do not be surprised if your class incorporates light handheld weights to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work, fitness balls, and resistant bands. Friday Aquafit with Jane 9-10am - Adult Pool
Aqua Fit is a challenging water workout, fit for everyone, especially those with joint ailments or injuries. The class begins with a gentle warm-up in the pool’s 86-degree water. From there, you’ll ease into the exercises using your own body weight, water resistance dumbbells, noodles, and other water resistant equipment. Are you interested in Yoga but not interested in getting onto the floor? Then this class is for you! Functional fitness training is a type of strength training that prepares your body for daily activities. Most functional fitness contains multi-joint movement patterns that involve your knees, hips, spine, elbows, wrists, and shoulders, which all build strength and improve your range of motion along with mobility for racquet sports and golf. Saturday Qigong with Anthony 10:30-11:30am
What is Qigong? Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for thousands of years. It is a type of meditative discipline centered around the traditional Chinese medicine belief that Qi, or energy, must flow throughout the body to achieve and maintain health. The practice of Qigong involves the use of slow, deliberate movements and relaxed breathing patterns to encourage the flow of Qi. This prevents stagnation of the body’s energy, which is thought to lead to health problems. It is also used to help relax the mind. The movements in Qigong are low-impact and easy on the joints and muscles. The movement is not fast enough to increase the heart rate, which means it does not serve as cardiovascular exercise. Instead, the main benefits are encouraging the flow of Qi, or energy, and improving circulation, balance, spinal alignment, and strength. No weights are used in a Qigong class. While you can exercise in most types of weather, extreme heat or cold can be dangerous. In cold weather, dress in layers, and wear a hat and gloves. In hot weather, wear plenty of sunscreen, choose lightweight clothing, and drink lots of water. Please wear appropriate athletic attire for the current weather conditions, for example, long sleeve sun protection shirts, cool-quick dry clothing, sneakers made for athletic conditioning, bottoms that keep you dry and cool. Accelerate your results with Small Group Training: Functional Movement and Metabolic Intervals. Participants will learn new exercises and techniques to fast track your fitness goals. What is Qigong? Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for thousands of years. It is a type of meditative discipline centered around the traditional Chinese medicine belief that Qi, or energy, must flow throughout the body to achieve and maintain health. The practice of Qigong involves the use of slow, deliberate movements and relaxed breathing patterns to encourage the flow of Qi. This prevents stagnation of the body’s energy, which is thought to lead to health problems. It is also used to help relax the mind. The movements in Qigong are low-impact and easy on the joints and muscles. The movement is not fast enough to increase the heart rate, which means it does not serve as cardiovascular exercise. Instead, the main benefits are encouraging the flow of Qi, or energy, and improving circulation, balance, spinal alignment, and strength. No weights are used in a Qigong class. High-intensity meets low-impact in this challenging fitness class that is designed for all levels. This class uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Saturday Qigong with Anthony 10:30-11:30am
What is Qigong? Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for thousands of years. It is a type of meditative discipline centered around the traditional Chinese medicine belief that Qi, or energy, must flow throughout the body to achieve and maintain health. The practice of Qigong involves the use of slow, deliberate movements and relaxed breathing patterns to encourage the flow of Qi. This prevents stagnation of the body’s energy, which is thought to lead to health problems. It is also used to help relax the mind. The movements in Qigong are low-impact and easy on the joints and muscles. The movement is not fast enough to increase the heart rate, which means it does not serve as cardiovascular exercise. Instead, the main benefits are encouraging the flow of Qi, or energy, and improving circulation, balance, spinal alignment, and strength. No weights are used in a Qigong class.
