These ages are derived from current parameters: Juniors who are younger than 13 who have been allowed to move to the forward tees in Granite Bay Golf Club golf events. Men and Women over 64 have been allowed to play from a more forward set of tees in a variety of events. They have a Handicap Index higher than 24.7 These indexes equate to a 30 handicap or higher for men playing the Granite tees. For equitable stroke control purposes, these players’ maximum score on a hole is between 7 on a par 3, 8 on a par 4 and 9 on a par 5. Pace of play and the playability of the course will improve from a more forward tee. They have a combined handicap index and age of 75 or higher This is a procedure that prestigious golf clubs like Pine Valley use to help the boarder line participants play from a more forward tee. A 63 year old 12 handicapper or a 51 year old 24 handicapper would be eligible to play a more forward tee. Rules: USGA rules apply. Putt everything out (unless you are out of the hole). Rain Dates: There are no rain dates. If weather prohibits any team in a flight from finishing their round, then the round is deemed to be canceled. Scorecards: Following play, the scorecards are to be signed by two players and returned to the box at Tilly’s Pub. Scoring: Scores will be posted on the scoreboard in Tilly’s Pub by 5:00 p.m. the following day. The lowest score will be determine the overall winner after dropping: The two highest scores if 6 or more rounds are played. The single highest score if 5 or less rounds are played. Score Posting: The golf staff will be posting all of the scores throughout the season. A player who does not complete a hole must record their most likely score. A player who does not play a hole must record par plus any handicap strokes they would receive on that hole. The maximum score for each hole played is limited to a net double bogey – which is equal to Par of the hole + 2 strokes (double bogey) + any handicap strokes the player is entitled to receive on that hole based on their Course Handicap. Ties: If there is a tie after the final round of play, the team with the lowest final round score will be deemed the winner. If the teams tied during their final round, the next to last score will be used, and so on until a winner has been determined. Prizes: Golf Shop credit will be awarded to the top finishers in each flight. There will also be a prize for a non-winning team with the lowest final round score. Proximity prizes will be awarded during the final round. Food & Beverage: The Mackenzie Grill outside bar will remain open until the last tee time every night during twilight. Following play on Wednesday, June 21 and Aug 9, there will be dinner provided in the conservatory. Follow
