The North Course showcases Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s signature approach to championship golf, blending generous fairways with demanding approach shots and well-protected greens. Set among the rolling hills of Coto de Caza in South Orange County, this classic layout rewards thoughtful strategy, precision and confident shot-making throughout every round.

Par 5 · 601

Pro’s Tip:

The course opens with its signature 601-yard par 5, which is considered one of the best starting holes in southern California. A 170-yard carry is required off the tee to clear a ravine, followed by a lay-up second shot that must avoid the seven bunkers guarding the left side of the fairway. The green on this hole is narrow, so a premium is placed on distance control on the approach.

The second hole is a par 4 that rewards accuracy off the tee. Two deep bunkers guard an undulated and elevated green and must be avoided.

The front nine closes with the shortest par 4 on the course. A decision awaits players on this tee, where they must decide whether to lay up to a bunker-riddled fairway or attempt to drive the elevated green.

Pro’s Tip:

A daunting tee shot kicks off the back nine, as it requires players to navigate lateral hazards and bunkers. Aiming over the trees could leave about a 200-yard approach into a three-tiered green. Trouble surrounds this putting surface in the form of a pond to the left and bunkers on the right.

The narrowest fairway on the course greets players on the par 4 thirteenth hole. A perfectly placed steep-faced fairway bunker will make this hole even more difficult.

The fourteenth hole is a long par 4, where two bunkers guard both ends of the fairway. The green is also protected by a large bunker and a slope that brings balls toward the sand.

Trouble sits right in the middle of the fairway on this par 4, which sometimes rules out driver off the tee. The smart play is to hit less club and aim down the center at the tree. The green is wide and slopes left, so it is best to aim for the right side.

The final hole is a straightaway, downhill par 4 with bunkers that ride the left side of the fairway. Driver can be too much off this tee, so most players will want to take less club, aim down the right, and use the downhill right-to-left slope of the fairway. This green features trouble on all sides, so playing less club on the approach is smart.

Do you offer golf instruction?

Absolutely. The Club offers professional instruction led by experienced golf professionals, with private lessons, group clinics, and player development programs designed for all skill levels.

Can I play the course with my membership?

Yes, Full Golf members receive unlimited access, while Limited Golf members receive access Sunday after 12:00 PM through Friday.

Are golf programs available for juniors?

Yes, the Crush It! Juniors Program is available for ages 4–16, including sessions, camps, and PGA Junior League participation.

How many golf courses does your Club have?

The Club features 36 holes of championship golf across two courses: The North Course and The South Course.

What makes the golf experience at your Club unique?

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the courses provide a championship golf experience in Orange County, featuring a strategic layout on the North Course and a tighter, more challenging layout on the South Course.

Do you provide club fitting services?

Yes, club fitting is offered using TrackMan technology with systems from brands including Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, and Ping.

Do you offer club repair?
