Buckhead Club was founded by Justus C. Martin Jr., who envisioned a prestigious and inviting club positioned on the top floor of the East Tower in the Atlanta Financial Center. Mr. Martin personally invited his friends and associates from Atlanta and the Buckhead community to join the Club’s Charter Membership, which successfully created Buckhead Club. From an 18th-floor vantage point, Club Members enjoyed business entertaining during the day and socializing with their business and community leaders in the evening.

Twenty years later, the Buckhead Club Board of Governors began to consider the future of the Club and its relevance to the Members of today and tomorrow. They decided to relocate the Club to a new home in the prestigious, 50-story Sovereign Building directly across the street. The Club opened its doors in September of 2008 on the 26th floor, with 1,300 Members and a panoramic view of Atlanta. The growth of the Club includes a state-of-the-art kitchen, enhanced technology solutions, custom decor, Member lounge, ballroom and athletics.
