Content Guidelines

The guidelines below are meant to assist you as you decide how to organize content and build pages in Episerver. The goal with these guidelines is to ensure that you are creating a seamless user journey and communicating the brand's voice and story.

Guidelines
Selecting Component Modes/Colors - When selecting colors for your blocks, try to select colors that flow from block to block as the user scrolls down the page. Avoid color blocking, or flipping back and forth between highly contrasting colors.
Establishing Site Consistency - While you should aim to achieve as much variation as possible from club site to club site, you want to try to establish more consistent patterns from page to page within a given club site. Try to establish some consistency by introducing shared blocks & footer stacks, consistent usage of componentry, consistent hero styles, and consistent use of colors and paragraph styles.
Video Heros - If possible, try to avoid using videos that include text over top of the video when placing it in the hero section of a page. If you do include a video with text, the text may get cut off on certain screen sizes or as the user scales the window size up and down.
Pop Ups & Alerts - Avoid overwhelming your users with too many alerts, banners, and pop-ups when they land on your club site. Where possible, try to avoid presenting more than 2 alerts/banners/pop-ups (including the cookie banner) at a given time. Ideally, the user will be presented with the cookie banner and EITHER a global alert, a club alert, OR a pop-up when they land on your site for the first time.
