THE COURSES

Anthem Golf & Country Club features 36 holes of championship golf designed by Greg Nash. The traditional Persimmon Course is highlighted by its signature double green, while the more demanding Ironwood Course tests skilled players with the water‑lined stretch known as Anthem Alley.

The Persimmon Course

The Persimmon Course, which opened to rave reviews in 1999 as a Scottsdale private golf course, features elevation changes from 50 feet to 300 feet. It’s the more traditional of the two Anthem, Arizona, golf courses, and features a signature, 18,000 square foot double green that concludes both the front and back nines. Perhaps the most notable is the final stretch of holes 15 through 18 that makes for a strong finish.

The Ironwood Course

The Ironwood Course encompasses seven water features, intimidating bunkers, and a backdrop of a mountain mesa. This is a classic high-risk/high-reward design and the more challenging of the two Anthem, Arizona golf courses. Post-round conversation often focuses on “Anthem Alley,” the 10th through 12th uniquely crafted water holes that tend to drive up scores.
