About Alan
Throughout my journey, I have been featured on the Food Network’s “Best Chef” series and “Top 5” series. I have been recognized in Southern Living, Cooking Light and Portico. I was humbled to be voted one of Birmingham’s “Best Chefs” for eight years by Birmingham Weekly. I am proud to call Birmingham my home and you will see it in our food. I embrace our southern culinary traditions and support local growers, farmers and fishermen. You will see local ingredients in our menus. I also embrace avant garde cooking, experimenting and exploring new culinary techniques and innovative dishes. A great menu to me balances timeless classic dishes steeped in tradition with contemporary dishes that we have fun with and that make you think. But, most importantly is that we use the freshest and best quality ingredients in every dish we make.
I am honestly so excited to start this new culinary venture here at City Club Birmingham! I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you. While not in the kitchen, I love to spend time with my wife, Sarah, and my three children, Hayden (16), Aly (15), and Ryan (12).
