Class begins with a restorative pose and incorporates a warm-up, Sun Salutations, carefully sequenced hip and heart openers and strength-building poses to improve balance, flexibility and strength. We focus on the breath with careful attention to alignment and move slowly yet powerfully through the postures to develop self-awareness, a calm mind and an enhanced state of well-being. We finish with a cool down and close with final rest in Savasana. Even more advanced practitioners will benefit from the gentle flow to help them relax while also restoring energy for the evening.
