Artist Reception Featuring "Jon SooHoo"
Artist Reception Featuring " Jon SooHoo" Tuesday, April 30th | 6-8pm Jon Soohoo is a Member of the City Club LA, but he is best known as a Los Angeles-based Sports Photographer. He has been photographing with the Dodgers since 1985 and can be seen most nights on the field at Dodger Stadium, documenting sports history in the making. This year, 2024, is a year filled with high expectations for the Dodgers, as Jon captures the record-breaking and iconic assemblage of this year’s Dodgers team, with the most anticipated line-up in history with players such as Shohei Ohtani Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. In addition to Jon’s accomplished work capturing one of the best teams in baseball, he built his career photographing major sporting events since his early days with the Daily Trojan at USC which include the Showtime Lakers, the Los Angeles Raiders and Los Angeles Rams. His freelance work includes NFL, NBA, NHL along with Super Bowls, NBA Finals, World Series and Rose Bowls for United Press International. He has also captured significant moments at the White House, documenting legends like Vin Scully, as well as icons such as Rachel Robinson (wife of Jackie Robinson), Jaime Jarrin, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Wayne Gretzky and many more. Jon's life experiences along his journey are as exciting as the images on display. However, we know this highly-anticipated exhibition of Jon’s iconic body of work is a must-see experience. Jon is a fifth generation Chinese American born at White Memorial Hospital, went to John Marshall High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology at USC..
